Under the supervision of the Dean of Student Affairs, the Vice Presidency of Student Affairs (Women's Campus) collaborated with the Faculty of Languages and Translation to organize an informative social media event. The event, titled "Use it Right," took place on Wednesday, Safar 26th, 1439H.
The Scientific Research Committee of the Female Campus commenced its academic year events and activities with a seminar titled "Interaction between Literature and Other Disciplines." The seminar, presented by Dr. Suaad Al-Qahtani, the Dean's Assistant, drew a large and enthusiastic audience, including staff members from the department.
The Faculty of Languages and Translation recently hosted a group of high-performing students from Al Manaahal Intermediate School. The visit took place at the main campus on November 13th. Led by their teacher, the students were given a personalized guided tour by esteemed faculty members including the Dean, Dr. Abdullah Al-Melhi, the Vice Dean, Dr. Yahya Asiri, and the Chairman, Dr. Munassir Alhamami.
Dr. Omer Sultan recently presented at a seminar held by the Language Research Center of King Khalid University on November 8, 2017. His presentation, entitled "Reconstruction of the Colonial and Postcolonial Paradigms: A Study of the Major Works of Chinua Achebe," delved into his Ph.D. thesis.
In recognition of International Translation Day, the Female Campus of the Faculty of Languages and Translation recently hosted a seminar titled "Reality Of Translation at the clt Female Campus, Problems & Solutions." This event invited a dialogue about contemporary issues in translation, with an emphasis on identifying comprehensive solutions. The seminar experienced robust participation and attracted a large audience, further underscoring the interest in the topic.
On October 25, 2017, the Language Research Center of King Khalid University hosted a seminar featuring a presentation by Dr. Eyhab Bader Eddin. The discussion was rooted in Dr. Eyhab's Ph.D. thesis, titled "Semantic Problems in A. J. Arberry’s Translation of the Suspended Odes (Al-Muallaqat)."
On October 25, 2017, the Language Research Center of the Faculty of Languages and Translation at King Khalid University held a special Certificate Award Ceremony. The event, held every two weeks throughout the academic year of 1437-38, sought to honor presenters who had contributed to enhancing the body of knowledge through their compelling seminars.
The ceremony was honored by the presence of Dr. Abdullah Al-Melhi, the Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Translation.
Under the esteemed patronage of the Dean, Dr. Abdullah Al-Melhi, and the careful supervision of Dr. Muhammed Shuaib Asiri, Vice-Dean for Academic Development & Quality, the Faculty of Languages & Translation's E-Learning Unit organized a seminar on "Recent Trends in E-Learning." This insightful presentation was delivered by Mr. Syed Asif Abbas on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at the E-Learning Training Center A/3/86.
In a bid to bolster student reading skills and foster a culture of literacy, the English Club of the Faculty of Languages and Translation paid a visit to the 14th Book and Information Fair. The delegation comprised of Assistant Dean Dr. Suad Al-Qahtani, College Coordinator of Activities and Social Services Mrs. AmatulHafeez Alvi, College Coordinator of Public Relations and Media Ms. Aisha Alvi, several faculty members, and 14 students.
Under the aegis of the Vice Presidency of Student Affairs, the Faculty of Languages and Translation's Female Campus was an active participant in the program, "Proud Of My Femininity". This initiative sought to bolster innate feminine qualities and challenge behaviors that are contrary to natural disposition.
