On Monday, February 13, 2017, Hassan Costello and Professor Habib Abdesslem spearheaded an engaging seminar titled, "Introductions in Locally Published Research Articles in Linguistics: Towards a Syntagmatics of Moves," orchestrated by the Language Research Center of the Faculty of Languages and Translation.

In December 2016, the English Club at King Khalid University hosted an enlightening and engaging debate on the topic of "Social Media Celebrities." The debate was designed to foster critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity among the students.
The Faculty of Languages and Translation (clt) at King Khalid University recently held a one-day workshop on Final Grades & Grade Entry. The event was specifically designed to orient and coach the newly appointed teaching staff regarding institutional policies and procedures pertaining to final grade submission.

On Monday, December 19, 2016, Professor Abdullah Hadi Al-Qahtani led a compelling discussion titled "Teaching as an Experience." The interactive seminar was hosted by the Language Research Center of the Faculty of Languages and Translation. Not just a conventional lecture, the session delved into various intriguing stories drawn from Professor Al-Qahtani's own teaching career and the experiences of others.
The British Council in Saudi Arabia recently conducted an intensive "Train the Trainer" workshop on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) for the staff at King Khalid University. The event took place on the 16th and 17th of December and was specifically designed for the faculty of the Faculty of Languages and Translation.
We are delighted to announce that the Language Research Center of the Faculty of Languages and Translation is now accepting abstract submissions for the upcoming 12th Research Day, slated for Thursday, 23/07/1438 H (April 20, 2017). This is an outstanding opportunity to share your insights and findings in front of a highly engaged scholarly audience.

On Monday, December 12, 2016, the Language Research Center of the Faculty of Languages and Translation was delighted to host a seminar by Mr. Erich Beer, titled "From the top of a pole 100 feet high, how do you step forward? Questions, Intuitions, and pointers relating to Reading Comprehension."
On Sunday, December 11, 2016, a university-wide webinar on Blackboard training was expertly delivered by Mohsin Khan, the E-Learning Supervisor at the Faculty of Languages & Translation. The event, coordinated by the E-Learning Deanship, is part of a strategic initiative to broaden the scope of instructional design training, thereby enhancing the virtual learning environment for students and teachers.
Dr. Abdul Wahed Al Zumor recently delivered a compelling presentation on enhancing lecture comprehension in English department content courses. This seminar, organized by the Language Research Center of King Khalid University on November 28, 2016, showcased his newly completed research project, titled "A Metacognitive and Social Strategy to Improve Content Lecture Comprehension."
