400 Sit for clt Post-Admissions Test
In an inaugural effort this year, prospective students applying to the Faculty of Languages and Translation (clt) were required to undergo an English language proficiency test. This examination, developed as a crucial post-admissions tool, was designed to gauge the English language competence and academic skills of the students.
The exam, which was jointly overseen by the Faculty of Languages and Translation and the Deanship of Admissions and Registration, was taken by almost 400 prospective freshmen in three separate auditoriums. Dean of the clt, Dr. Abdullah Al-Melhi, elaborated on the objective of this new initiative. According to him, this post-admissions measure was aimed at offering students the necessary and efficient language and academic support that will facilitate the full realization of their academic potential. A notable feature of this process was an expedited grading procedure that enabled students to receive their results within 24 hours.
Dr. Saad Muhammad Du'ajim, Vice Rector of Academic and Educational Affairs, and Dr. Abdulmohsen Al-Qarni, Dean of Admissions and Registration, endorsed Dean Al-Melhi's statements. They opined that the examination was a resounding success, reflecting the continuous commitment of the institution to raise the academic standards and offer quality education to its students.
