The vibrant discourse saw Muhammad Salem Ashahri, Abdur Rahim Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Aweed Al Amari, Mohammad Ali Al-Qahtani, and Abdullah Ali Al-Qahtani arguing in favor of the motion. Their nuanced stance was not anti-technology, rather against its excessive use, a distinction they emphasized throughout the debate.

At a seminar organized by the Language Research Center on April 11, 2016, Dr. Mohammad Osman illuminated his innovative approach to teaching English as a foreign language. Focusing on the power of short stories as a learning tool, Dr. Osman's engaging presentation, titled "Short Stories – Source of Learning English as a Foreign Language," spotlighted the pedagogical potential of this often-overlooked medium.

On March 28, 2016, an enlightening seminar was orchestrated by the Language Research Center, featuring Dr. Nisar Ahmed Koka as the keynote speaker. He captivated the audience with his intriguing research paper, titled "Cross-Cultural Communication and Subsequent Diffusion of Loanwords," casting a spotlight on the linguistic fusion between Arabic and Kashmiri languages.

In an auspicious gathering echoing with intellectual discourse, His Excellency Professor Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Dawood, the esteemed President of King Khalid University, inaugurated the maiden Scientific Forum, a first of its kind in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This highly anticipated event, spanning over two days, was held at the male campus's central auditorium and the theater in Abha, situated off King Abdullah Road.

In a riveting seminar organized by the Language Research Center of King Khalid University on February 29, 2016, Mr. Erich Beer, a seasoned educator, unveiled insights from his deep well of teaching experiences. On February 15, 2016, the Language Research Center of King Khalid University hosted a captivating seminar featuring Dr. Fahad Otaif, Vice Dean of Academic Development and Quality. Dr. Otaif shed light on a critical aspect of media discourse in his thought-provoking presentation titled "Metaphorical Framing of Media Discourse and the Representation of the Other: A Corpus-based Critical Discourse Analysis of Metaphors in the Press Discourse."
