On October 17, 2017, Hassan Costello, a Language Instructor at the Faculty of Languages and Translation (clt), presented a seminar aimed at familiarizing participants with the Quality Matters (QM) peer review process and certification in online education.
Mr. Mohsin Raza Khan recently delivered a compelling presentation at a seminar held by the Language Research Center of King Khalid University on October 11, 2017. The talk, titled "Flipped Model Classroom," focused on the efficacy and advantages of this innovative pedagogical approach.

Nadia Mohammed Aloraij, a Master's student from the Faculty of Languages and Translation, recently presented her research on the influence of English on the Arabic language in the city of Abha. The presentation, titled 'The Hegemony of English in the Linguistic Landscape of Abha,' was part of a seminar organized by the Language Research Center of King Khalid University, held on October 4, 2017, at the King Abdullah Road campus.
The Faculty of Languages and Translation is proud to announce the re-release of Dr. Haseeb Ahmed's book, 'Chinua Achebe: Hero in Quest' (ISBN.978-81-88730-57-5). Dr. Ahmed, a faculty member at the Faculty of Languages and Translation, has a robust academic portfolio including numerous national and international conference presentations, creative writings, twelve research papers, and the completion of two postdoctoral research projects.
Under the guidance of Dean Dr. Abdullah Al-Melhi, the Faculty of Languages and Translation commemorated the 87th National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in a grand ceremony. The event was held on September 27th, 2017, at Building B, Auditorium 5, where a riveting account of the Kingdom's history was presented to the attendees, which included students, faculty, and staff. Poetry recitals and a fresh student orientation program added a vibrant dimension to the celebration.
The Deanship of E-Learning recently hosted a training session, under the careful guidance of Training Manager, Mohammed Jarallah, for new faculty members from across the university. Mohsin Raza Khan, the Supervisor of the E-Learning Unit at the Faculty of Languages and Translation, was the key speaker at the event.
The Faculty of Languages and Translation is thrilled to unveil the publication of Sharear Talukder's first poetic anthology, titled 'Glimpse of Rhythm'. Talukder, a distinguished lecturer at the faculty, has used his literary prowess to explore a broad spectrum of compelling topics such as citizen rights, freedom, and social justice, amongst others.
Ahmad Al-Otaibi, a student at King Khalid University's Faculty of Languages and Translation (clt) and a respected student journalist at Aseer News, recently received recognition from HRH Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of the Asir Region. This commendation was in recognition of Al-Otaibi's sustained press and social media coverage of the activities undertaken by the Abha Charity Association, with Al-Otaibi serving as a representative of Aseer News.
On May 1, 2017, King Khalid University witnessed an engaging academic seminar organized by the Language Research Center of the Faculty of Languages and Translation. The star of the event was Abdullah Omar, a diligent Master's student, who held a captivating presentation titled "Awareness and Attitude of Saudi Students towards World Englishes." This presentation was a pivotal component of his ongoing MA research proposal.
