The Faculty of Languages and Translation (clt) was recently awarded a certificate of appreciation by the Deanship of E-Learning for their vital support in delivering the successful eLearning Practitioner Course. Dr. Abdullah Al-Melhi, Dean of clt, and Dr. Yahya Asiri, Vice Dean, graciously accepted the certificate.

The eLearning Practitioner Course, an initiative aimed at faculty members across the university, was conducted from October 25, 2017, to November 9, 2017. The course was ably delivered by the clt E-Learning Supervisor, Mohsin Raza Khan.

On January 31, 2018, the Language Research Center (LRC) organized a seminar at the Al-Samer Campus, featuring a presentation by Dr. Sara Huseynova. Her presentation, titled "On North American ESL/EFL Teaching Principles and on PPP, ESA, TTT, TBL as the ELL Instruction Methods," focused on the impact and implementation of prominent teaching strategies.

Earlier this month, an audience of nearly 150 attendees gathered to attend a riveting webinar featuring internationally celebrated author and professor James Dean Brown. Drawing on his extensive research expertise, Professor Brown demystified the characteristics of qualitative and quantitative research in applied linguistics research. He further highlighted the evolution of the mixed-methods research (MMR) paradigm.

On the eve of the final examinations, the administration of the Faculty of Languages and Translation convened a critical meeting with faculty members. Held in the conference room of the College of Education on Sunday, 24^th of December 2017, this gathering aimed to synchronize efforts for the impending examination period.

The Second Annual Admissions Exhibition at King Khalid University served as a strategic stepping stone for prospective students transitioning from high school to college life. From their first steps on the campus, students were introduced to the dynamic environment and distinct values of the Faculty of Languages and Translation (clt).

With a firm belief in the power of gratitude, the English Club recently hosted "The Gratitude Event", an occasion designed to foster and strengthen an elevated sense of appreciation for the blessings in our lives. This program served to remind all attendees of the richness and abundance surrounding us daily.

Fostering strong ties with both government and private educational institutions, the Faculty of Languages and Translation (clt) at our female campus recently welcomed a delegation from Al-Dhikr High School. This delegation consisted of 20 senior students and three teachers. The visit began with an informative orientation hosted by the English Club, which offered a detailed overview of the faculty and the English program.

On December 6, 2017, the Language Research Center hosted a seminar featuring a notable presentation by Dr. Emad Al-Tamari, titled "Linguistics in Aid of Teachers of English". His talk revolved around the concept that enhancing and refining students’ linguistic competence can result in improved linguistic performance.

At the Faculty of Languages and Translation (clt) at King Khalid University, we recognize the significance of the process students undertake when choosing their university – a process we believe should be as fulfilling as the eventual decision itself. On December 4t^h, we had the pleasure of hosting a group of eager students from Al-Dhikr High School. The visit provided these students an opportunity to explore the myriad of academic opportunities offered by the University, aiding them in their quest to find the perfect fit.

The Unit of Academic Development and Quality at the Faculty of Languages and Translation hosted a training session on December 3, 2017, featuring a procedural presentation by Dr. Mohammad Shiblee of the College of Engineering. Dr. Shiblee's presentation primarily centered around the use of the Jadeer software for uploading pertinent quality documents.
