Empowering Students for Success: A Comprehensive Blackboard Workshop for ENG 015 Online Course

On October 8 and 10, 2018, the E-Learning Unit of the Faculty of Languages and Translation (clt) organized a comprehensive Blackboard workshop for students enrolled in the ENG 015 course, which is entirely conducted online.

Mr. Mohammad Taisir, the instructor for ENG 015, spearheaded the workshop with assistance from clt E-Learning Unit Supervisor, Mohsin Khan. The session, which attracted a substantial number of students, aimed to ensure that participants are adequately prepared to tackle the unique aspects of online learning.

13th E-Learning Awareness Campaign

The Faculty of Languages and Translation recently hosted its 13th E-Learning Awareness Campaign for first-year students. Under the patronage of Dean Dr. Abdullah Al-Melhi and the supervision of the Vice Dean for Academic Development and Quality, Dr. Mohammed S. Assiri, the faculty's E-Learning Unit organized the campaign, which ran from September 16 to September 20, 2018.

ELC Director, Mr. Abdullah Al-Rezgi, joined the E-Learning Unit Team during the campaign, assisting in several e-learning labs and providing Arabic translation as necessary.

clt Welcomes Class of 2022 at Freshman Orientation Day

Under the supervision of Dr. Abdullah Al-Melhi, the Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Translation (clt), and organized by the English Club, first-year students gathered for the Academic Year 2018-2019 Freshman Orientation Day on Wednesday, September 12.

The Class of 2022 convened for the first time in room A/3/60, where they were warmly received by various administrators, teachers, and the president of the English Club.

clt Delivers In-Service Professional Development for MOE Teachers

In a recent collaboration between the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education and the Faculty of Languages and Translation, an introductory-level short course was offered to primary, secondary, and high school teachers employed by the Ministry of Education. Spearheaded by Dr. Abdullah Al-Melhi, Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Translation, and Dr. Omar Alwan Aqeel, Dean of Community Service and Continuing Education, the course took place over four weeks.
