The Women's College of the Faculty of Languages and Translation's English Club hosted an invigorating program titled "Steps" on Monday, 24/6/1439 from 10 am to 11 am. Comprising four enriching segments, the event aimed to inspire and motivate its attendees.

The Third Annual Forum on English Language Teaching (ELT), entitled "Modern Teaching English Strategies," was held on April 14, 2018, at the Mercure Hotel in Khamis Mushait, Saudi Arabia. The primary goal was to exchange ideas about contemporary teaching methodologies. The forum comprised two sessions and ten insightful presentations.
The Scientific Research Committee of the Faculty of Languages and Translation hosted an informative seminar titled "Translation is the Art of Failure" on Monday, April 2, 2018. The Scientific Research Committee of the Faculty of Languages and Translation recently held an enlightening two-hour workshop on April 9, 2018. The purpose of the workshop was to familiarize faculty members and MA students with the intricacies of Rbrul software.
The session was led by Dr. Khairia Abudadi, who presented an insightful introduction to the Rbrul software. Throughout her presentation, Dr. Khairia used a hands-on approach, supplementing her discussion with practical examples and supporting materials distributed to the attendees.

On April 4, 2018, the 13th Annual Research Day took place at King Khalid University under the guidance of Dr. Ismail Al-Refaai, Director of the Language Research Center. The event was inaugurated with a recitation from the Qur'an, followed by welcoming remarks from Dr. Abdullah Al-Melhi, Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Translation. Dr. Al-Melhi underlined the importance of academic events and expressed his appreciation for faculty members who contributed their research to the event.
On April 3, 2018, a seminar was held at King Khalid University's Faculty of Languages and Translation, featuring Dr. Abdulrahman Almosa as the presenter. The subject matter was based on Dr. Almosa's dissertation titled "Multimedia Assisted Language Learning (MMALL) Facilitating L2 Listening Comprehension in an EFL Classroom." He provided insights into the challenges students face in understanding spoken language and how MMALL can serve as a solution.
Aiming to enhance students' speaking prowess, the Faculty of Languages and Translation recently conducted a workshop titled "Speaking Skills". The event took place on the 2nd of April, 2018, in the university's A/3/1 hall from 11 am to 12 pm. The session was organized by Dr. Mohammad Asif Ishfaq under the auspices of the Dean, Dr. Abdullah Al-Melhi, and Vice Dean, Dr. Yahya Asiri. Assisted by Mr. Mohammad Kamaluddin, the workshop successfully engaged the participation of approximately 35 students.
