On September 15, 2019, Vice Dean of the Academic Development and Quality Deanship, Dr. Saeed Saad Hadi, welcomed NCAAA Consultant, Dr. Loay Abusalah, for an essential meeting. They were joined by Dean Abdullah Al-Melhi and the Faculty of Languages and Translation's (clt) Vice Dean of Academic Development and Quality, Dr. Abdulrahman Almosa. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the progress towards the clt's accreditation.

Under the auspices of Dean Dr. Abdullah Al-Melhi and the guidance of Vice Dean for Academic Development & Quality, Dr. Abdulrahman Almosa, the Faculty of Languages and Translation's E-Learning Unit organized an "E-Learning Awareness Campaign". This campaign, which was targeted towards new students of the English Department, was held from September 8, 2019, to September 12, 2019.

Dr. Almosa acknowledged the efforts put forth by the E-Learning Unit in conducting this informative campaign, which serves a critical purpose in educating students about e-learning systems.

The annual freshman orientation held by the Faculty of Languages and Translation (clt) at King Khalid University saw a robust turnout at the start of the semester. The event, typically lasting one to two hours, serves as an introduction for new students to understand the university's rules and regulations, meet their peers, and familiarize themselves with the English Club.

The Faculty of Languages and Translation takes pleasure in announcing that the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI), UK has named Dr Eyhab Abdulrazak Bader Eddin as a Qualified Member (Translator). ITI, which promotes the highest standards in the profession, is the only UK-based independent professional membership association for practising translators, interpreters and language service providers. It aims to enhance and continually develop the translating and interpreting profession between government, industry and commerce, the media and the general public.

Seven exceptional students from the Faculty of Languages and Translation (clt) at King Khalid University recently had the opportunity to take part in an intensive eight-week summer English program at Swansea University in Wales, UK. These candidates emerged successful from a rigorous selection process involving a competitive examination and a meticulous review by a selection committee.

The Faculty of Languages and Translation (clt) conducted a university-wide webinar focusing on 'Blackboard Collaborate Ultra.' The webinar, held on Thursday, August 22, 2019, was spearheaded by clt's E-Learning Supervisor, Mohsin Raza Khan, and supervised by Mohammed Jarallah, Training Manager at the Deanship of E-Learning.

The Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education has once again partnered with the Faculty of Languages and Translation (clt) to offer the second annual four-week intensive English language course. The course, specifically tailored for teachers from the Ministry of Education (MOE), seeks to bolster their language proficiency.

The E-Learning Unit of the Faculty of Languages and Translation (clt) at King Khalid University has concluded an action-packed semester of innovative strides. The Unit, under the oversight of Dean Dr. Abdullah Al-Melhi and the leadership of E-Learning Supervisor Mohsin Khan, has successfully introduced and implemented the Cambridge Learning Management System (CLMS), a transformative tool for our students' educational experiences.

The Faculty of Languages and Translation (clt) at King Khalid University has recently embarked on a significant accreditation process. On May 2, 2019, Dr. Ahmad Farid, a Quality Consultant at the Deanship of Academic Development and Quality, conducted a workshop focusing on securing the NCAAA accreditation for the Bachelor of Arts in English program. The comprehensive process kick-started with an extensive self-evaluation, now successfully completed by the clt.

King Khalid University's Faculty of Languages and Translation (clt) - English Language Center (ELC) recently honored Ahmed Alamoud, a first-year medical program student, with the Outstanding Student Award. This recognition came in light of Ahmed's exemplary performance in the rigorous ENG 019 intensive English language program, a requirement for all incoming medical students, given that core medical school classes are taught in English.
