This highly anticipated event, spanning over two days, was held at the male campus's central auditorium and the theater in Abha, situated off King Abdullah Road.
President Al-Dawood extended his sincere appreciation to His Excellency, the Vice President of the Women's Colleges, for fostering the visionary concept proposed by Dr. Sraa Abu Melha. He expressed profound pride in the collective effort of the University's management, faculties, and implementing departments for orchestrating a forum that holds promise of monumental benefits.
Dr. Areej Mustafa, the Deputy Dean of High Studies and the President of the Scientific Committee of the Forum, articulated the university's commitment to nurturing scientific forums, recognizing their integral role in the evolution and refinement of the educational process.
Underlining the forum's objective, Dr. Areej conveyed its impetus to fuel knowledge advancement among researchers and faculty members through shared experiences. By creating an interactive platform, the forum aims to unearth solutions to challenges faced by academics and students alike, propelling innovations in curriculum development, teaching methodologies, and implementing cutting-edge teaching strategies.
Sharing some intriguing figures, Dr. Areej disclosed, “Upon announcing the Forum, we received an overwhelming response, nearly 70 research papers from more than 65 researchers across 17 entities of the University. We also had female students contributing under the guidance of their teachers.” The forum featured 24 researchers through four scientific sessions, complemented by six lectures, and approximately 40 scientific posters.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Melhi, Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Translation, emphasized the fundamental role of such academic gatherings in the keynote speech. He highlighted the indispensable necessity of collaborative efforts between the genders, especially considering the identical curricula and shared challenges, in alignment with King Khalid University's relentless pursuit of academic excellence and accreditation.
The Forum, providing the grounds for intellectual growth, focused on contemporary developments in the English language curriculum, including themes like advanced English teaching strategies, computer science, and information systems.
