On June 29, 2021, Hassan Costello led a two-hour webinar, "Strategies for IELTS Preparation and Test-Taking". The insightful session, supervised by the Vice Presidency of Business and Knowledge Economy, was an initiative of the Scholarship Administration and the Faculty of Languages and Translation. This endeavor is a part of Mobaderoon 2, a community service project aimed at bolstering the exchange of knowledge between King Khalid University and the broader community.

In a compelling display of entrepreneurial drive and initiative, Mubarak Saeed Al-Qahtani, a 2021 graduate from the Faculty of Languages and Translation's Bachelor of Arts in English program, has turned his long-held dream into reality. Al-Qahtani has successfully launched several drive-through coffee shops, bringing a unique Al-Qassim flair to the Asir region.

Dr. Eyhab Abdulrazak Bader Eddin, an esteemed Assistant Professor of Translation at the Faculty of Languages and Translation, has contributed a chapter to an upcoming scholarly book, "Research Into Translation and Training in Arab Academic Institutions." The esteemed publication house, Routledge, is set to release the book on July 30, 2021.

Dr. Eyhab Bader Eddin has launched a new initiative focusing on "Annotated Translation," a subject that, while intriguing and complex, has gained increasing attention for its use as a primary assessment method for translation students at both undergraduate and graduate levels. During a session open to the public in the Spring 2021 semester, he discussed the distinction and interchangeability of 'annotated translation' and 'translation commentary.'

Dr. Eyhab Bader Eddin, as part of an ongoing initiative to enhance the understanding of graduate students, has offered an advanced free intensive course on the Parts of Speech. Recognizing the challenges that students face at the graduate or doctoral level, especially when in the process of writing their thesis, dissertations, or research papers, Dr. Bader Eddin held a three-part webinar series during the 2020-2021 academic year.

Supervised by Dr. Fahad Otaif, Assistant Professor of Critical Discourse Analysis and Translation, a team of postgraduate female students from the Faculty of Languages and Translation (clt) participated in the "WikiDowen" project during the Spring 2021 semester. The WikiDowen Project, under the administration of the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah), aims to enrich and increase the Arabic content on Wikipedia; although Arabic is the fourth most popular language in the world, the Arabic content on Wikipedia still ranks 25^th in terms of volume.

On April 8, 2021, Dr. Abdulkhaleq Al-Qahtani, an associate professor at the Department of English, Faculty of Languages and Translation, presented an enlightening paper titled "Reading comprehension and strategies of Saudi Arabian learners in two learning contexts: EFL vs. ESL." The webinar was chaired by Dr. Munassir Alhamami, the Department of English Chair. Currently on sabbatical leave from King Khalid University, Dr.

In the first week of April 2021, the Vice Deanship of Academic Development and Quality at the Faculty of Languages and Translation conducted a series of meetings with the Employer Advisory Board (EAB). The Bachelor of Arts in English program (BAEP) hosted these events to leverage the EAB's insights into labor market trends, in-demand skills, and effective pedagogy. The primary objective of these meetings was to collect feedback to enrich the curriculum and meet the growing need for skilled professionals.

On March 31, 2021, Hassan Costello and Dr. Sayyed Rashid Ali Shah conducted an in-service teacher training webinar, attended by 145 participants. The webinar, a collaborative effort with the Ministry of Education in Asir and Rijal Alma, focused on "IELTS Listening and Speaking" and "IELTS Preparation: Reading & Writing". The training provided male and female teachers with a deeper understanding of the exam structure, imparting exam-specific tips and strategies for answering various question types.
