The students of the Faculty of Languages and Translation attended a seminar organized by the Intellectual Awareness Unit on Tuesday, October 30^th in the Science College Theatre. The presentation was about the significance of the feeling of appreciation and belongingness to one’s home country. Dr. Aisha Abu Sab’a, assistant professor at the Faculty of Islamic Legislation, started her presentation with a review of a map of the prophets’ journeys. She referred to the journey of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) away from his home country.

An enticing aroma of spices wafting from the grill marked the backdrop for the Faculty of Languages and Translation’s semi-annual social gathering during the 1439-1440 academic year. An assembly of nearly 50 faculty members and administrative staff came together to interact in an informal ambiance, leading to engaging dialogues about academic pursuits, research undertakings, career trajectories, and broader personal interests as the evening unfolded.

On Wednesday, October 24, 2018, the Faculty of Languages & Translation convened a meeting with newly appointed faculty members. The meeting took place in Room A/3/60, initiating at 12:00 pm.

Dr. Mohammad Shuaib Asiri recently delivered an insightful presentation, titled "Comparing Multiple Choice, Verb Conjugation, and Error Correction in Grammar ‎Assessment" at a seminar hosted by the Language Research Center on October 24, 2018. The focus of the seminar was his latest research into the nuances of grammar assessment methodologies.

On Sunday, October 7, the Deanship of Student Affairs facilitated a visit for the Faculty of Languages and Translation students to Eva's Art Event. This cultural excursion aimed to deepen the students' appreciation for art, introducing them to an array of masterful artworks, while simultaneously supporting the burgeoning talents of young artists.

On October 10, 2018, the English Club at the Faculty of Languages and Translation's Female Campus, in collaboration with the Area 39 Asir Female Toastmasters Club, hosted a remarkable program entitled 'قيادتي لذاتي'. The event was staged at the Science College Theater between 10 am and 12 pm.

On October 17, 2018, the Female Campus Scientific Research Committee at the Faculty of Languages & Translation unveiled their first program of the 2018-19 Academic Year: 'Exploring the World of Fiction.' This enriching program was designed for students of all academic levels, aiming to open a new chapter in their understanding of literature.

The English Club at the Women's College of the Faculty of Languages and Translation hosted a vibrant celebration in honor of the 88^th Saudi National Day. Held on September 26, 2018, and orchestrated under the supervision of Ms. Norah Al-Qahtani, the event perfectly encapsulated the spirit of patriotism and unity.

The festivities commenced with the stirring notes of the national anthem, setting a tone of reverence and pride. This was followed by an inspirational recitation from the Holy Quran, grounding the proceedings in cultural and religious significance.

On September 16, 2018, a warm and informative orientation for incoming freshmen took place at the Science College Theater. Under the supervision of Academic Advisor, Ms. Sarah Alateeg, and Extracurricular Activities Coordinator, Ms. Norah Al-Qahtani, the event aimed to equip new students with crucial insights about campus life.
