The Scientific Research Committee of the Department of English at the Faculty of Languages and Translation conducted an informative seminar titled 'Basics of Writing and Publishing Scientific Articles' on March 28, 2019. The seminar, targeted at Master's students, was presented by Amatul Alvi.

The seminar commenced with an enlightening introduction to the significance of gaining practical knowledge and experience in the crafting and publishing of scientific articles. This became the foundation for an engaging and educational discussion.

On April 3, 2019, King Khalid University held its 14^th Research Day, spearheaded by Dr. Ismail Al-Refaai, the Director of the Language Research Center. Following the recitation of the Holy Qur'an, Dr. Abdullah Al-Melhi, Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Translation, welcomed all attendees, urging faculty members and graduate students to partake in this vital intellectual exchange.

The Faculty of Languages & Translation (clt) at King Khalid University is collaborating with the Asir Region Directorate of Education on various community outreach initiatives. On March 31st, this partnership manifested itself in a visit to Habib Bin Zaid Elementary School in Abha, by clt's Dean, Dr. Abdullah Al-Melhi, and Dr. Eyhab Bader Eddin, MCIL, CL. Several students, teachers, and administrators actively participated in this initiative, aimed at introducing young minds to the possibilities of higher education and the application of foreign languages.

On March 23, 2019, the 5th Annual Forum, "Modern Strategies in Teaching English," took place at the Saudi German Hospital. The Faculty of Languages and Translation, in partnership with Al Khaleej Training and Education, orchestrated the event. The forum's central objective was to provide a platform for discussing contemporary concepts in English language teaching. The event unfolded under the expert guidance of Dr. Mowafiq Al-Momani, consisting of two sessions and six enlightening presentations.

Those who presented research in the bi-monthly Language Research Center seminars were recognized for their hard work this academic year. The Faculty of Languages and Translation awarded certificates of appreciation at a ceremony on March 20^th organized by the Language Research Center.

Dr. Eyhab Bader Eddin delivered a presentation titled Translation Process Mapping: Key Tools to Explore Translation Cognitive Dimensions at a seminar organized by the Language Research Center of King Khalid University held on March 20, 2019.

Sponsored by the Faculty of Languages and Translation (clt), the English Club is guided by a faculty director and a student leader. Its main objectives include English language skills development, community service, and higher education advocacy. Lately, the club has been a hotbed of activity with a wide range of valuable events. Team Up to Clean Up and Green Up

On March 7, 2019, the Scientific Research Committee of the Faculty of Languages & Translation held a presentation titled 'Language of the Professionals,' given by Ms. Anjum Mishu, a Lecturer in the Department of English. The seminar was particularly aimed at the faculty's M.A. students and was divided into three key segments: 'How to Write a Research Proposal,' 'Language of the Professionals,' and 'Vocabulary of the Academics.'

Dr. Mahmoud Radwan led an enriching workshop titled 'Approaches to Literary Studies' this past Sunday for students of the Faculty of Languages and Translation. The event, sponsored by the English Club, drew the interest of over 200 students and faculty members.

Recently, the English Club at the Al-Lasan Campus facilitated a social gathering open to all students and faculty members. Faisal Alfadhil, the Student Activities Director, outlined several key objectives for the event.
