The Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education has once again partnered with the Faculty of Languages and Translation (clt) to offer the second annual four-week intensive English language course. The course, specifically tailored for teachers from the Ministry of Education (MOE), seeks to bolster their language proficiency.

The E-Learning Unit of the Faculty of Languages and Translation (clt) at King Khalid University has concluded an action-packed semester of innovative strides. The Unit, under the oversight of Dean Dr. Abdullah Al-Melhi and the leadership of E-Learning Supervisor Mohsin Khan, has successfully introduced and implemented the Cambridge Learning Management System (CLMS), a transformative tool for our students' educational experiences.

The Faculty of Languages and Translation (clt) at King Khalid University has recently embarked on a significant accreditation process. On May 2, 2019, Dr. Ahmad Farid, a Quality Consultant at the Deanship of Academic Development and Quality, conducted a workshop focusing on securing the NCAAA accreditation for the Bachelor of Arts in English program. The comprehensive process kick-started with an extensive self-evaluation, now successfully completed by the clt.

King Khalid University's Faculty of Languages and Translation (clt) - English Language Center (ELC) recently honored Ahmed Alamoud, a first-year medical program student, with the Outstanding Student Award. This recognition came in light of Ahmed's exemplary performance in the rigorous ENG 019 intensive English language program, a requirement for all incoming medical students, given that core medical school classes are taught in English.

Several weeks ago, a significant diplomatic meeting took place when His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, met with a delegation of high-ranking government officials from the People's Republic of China. A notable outcome of this meeting was a mutual commitment to intensify economic and social collaboration between the two nations.

King Khalid University hosted the 14^th Annual Research Day on April 3, 2019, an event directed under the supervision of Dr. Ismail Al-Refaai, the Director of the Language Research Center. The university's dedication to research and development was highlighted by the event's success, which was acknowledged with a distinguished second place in the evaluation conducted by the Deanship of Scientific Research at King Khalid University.

Students at the Faculty of Languages and Translation attended a workshop organized by the Intellectual Awareness Unit on Tuesday, 12/7/1440 at Faculty of Islamic Legislation. The workshop which was held by Dr. Lamya Alqadi focused on Qur’anic values and their impact on intellectual security.

On Sunday, March 10, the Women's English Club of the Faculty of Languages and Translation, in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs, hosted an inspiring program to commemorate International Women's Day. The event was held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am in Building C and featured several influential women from Asir, including Salwa Al-Qahtani, Amjad Al-Hajri, and Sharifah Al-Qahtani.

On the 13^th of March, the Women's English Club of the Faculty of Languages and Translation, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs, executed a captivating re-enactment of Shakespeare's 'Macbeth'. The event was held from 9:00 am to 10:00 am in the theater of the Science College, attracting an impressive audience of over 230 attendees across various departments.

The Women's English Club of the Faculty of Languages and Translation, in conjunction with the Deanship of Student Affairs, successfully conducted a program aptly named 'Idea X' on February 20^th. The event took place at the Science College theatre from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and drew an audience of approximately 50 participants.
