On October 12, 2021, the Women's section of the Scientific Research Unit organized a webinar titled "How to Prepare an Oral Research Presentation", led by Dr. Nada Alqarni.

Dr. Alqarni initiated her session by encouraging the audience to consider their objectives and audience engagement strategies. "Consider your goals and contemplate how you plan to involve your audience in the presentation," advised Dr. Alqarni. She proceeded to underscore the importance of brainstorming main ideas, organizing discussion topics, and thoroughly preparing for and rehearsing the presentation.

In October 2021, E-Learning Supervisor, Mohsin Raza Khan, facilitated an e-learning practitioner certification course accessible to all faculty members. The significance of effective instructional design and the creation of enhanced learning environments is recognized across all colleges within the university.

On October 11, 2021, Ms. Amatul Hafeez Alvi shared her findings from a research paper originally presented at the 1st AEJ UKI SLA Research International Conference, a forum dedicated to connecting English language professionals worldwide. Her research, titled "From Pedagogy to Andragogy in Post COVID-19 ESP Courses: A Customized Blended Learning Model for English in Medicine at a Saudi University", was presented during a webinar organized by the Language Research Center.

On August 19, 2021, the 2021 Online Summer Language Program (OSLP) titled "English Across Cultures and Intercultural Awareness" drew to a successful close under the auspices of Dean Abdullah Al-Melhi. The four-week intensive language study was specially crafted to align with the applied linguistics curriculum, focusing on fostering intercultural awareness and exploring varied models of teaching and learning English.

On June 29, 2021, Hassan Costello led a two-hour webinar, "Strategies for IELTS Preparation and Test-Taking". The insightful session, supervised by the Vice Presidency of Business and Knowledge Economy, was an initiative of the Scholarship Administration and the Faculty of Languages and Translation. This endeavor is a part of Mobaderoon 2, a community service project aimed at bolstering the exchange of knowledge between King Khalid University and the broader community.

In a compelling display of entrepreneurial drive and initiative, Mubarak Saeed Al-Qahtani, a 2021 graduate from the Faculty of Languages and Translation's Bachelor of Arts in English program, has turned his long-held dream into reality. Al-Qahtani has successfully launched several drive-through coffee shops, bringing a unique Al-Qassim flair to the Asir region.

Dr. Eyhab Abdulrazak Bader Eddin, an esteemed Assistant Professor of Translation at the Faculty of Languages and Translation, has contributed a chapter to an upcoming scholarly book, "Research Into Translation and Training in Arab Academic Institutions." The esteemed publication house, Routledge, is set to release the book on July 30, 2021.

Dr. Eyhab Bader Eddin has launched a new initiative focusing on "Annotated Translation," a subject that, while intriguing and complex, has gained increasing attention for its use as a primary assessment method for translation students at both undergraduate and graduate levels. During a session open to the public in the Spring 2021 semester, he discussed the distinction and interchangeability of 'annotated translation' and 'translation commentary.'

Dr. Eyhab Bader Eddin, as part of an ongoing initiative to enhance the understanding of graduate students, has offered an advanced free intensive course on the Parts of Speech. Recognizing the challenges that students face at the graduate or doctoral level, especially when in the process of writing their thesis, dissertations, or research papers, Dr. Bader Eddin held a three-part webinar series during the 2020-2021 academic year.
