Female Students of the College of Languages and Translation at the Book Fair: Enhancing Reading and Developing Cultural Skills

Cultural fairs and books serve as ideal platforms for encouraging reading and reinforcing this concept among students. In this context, the College of Languages and Translation Club participated alongside the Central Pages Club and, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs for Female Students, in the "Book Fair" held on Monday, February 3, 2025, at the Central Library in Al-Far'aa. The program commenced promptly at 10:00 a.m. and witnessed remarkable attendance and active engagement from both male and female students, as well as various visitors.

Bridging Theory and Practice: CLT Alumni Unit's Workshop on Jahiziyah Applied Linguistics Exam Strategies

On January 29, 2025, the Alumni Unit of the College of Languages & Translation (CLT) organized an insightful workshop entitled “From Theory to Practice: Strategies for Solving the Jahiziyah Applied Linguistics Exam” designed for Level 7 and 8 students. In line with the ongoing efforts of the College of Languages and Translation Club to enhance the creative skills of female students, a program entitled "Linguistic Innovations" was organized in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs for Women. The event took place on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at the college auditorium, running from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A significant number of female students, keen to advance their writing and public speaking skills, attended the program.

Rector Al-Solamy Presents Translation Department with Certificate of Recognition

On December 18, 2024, in Abha, during a ceremony marking World Arabic Language Day, King Khalid University lauded the Translation Department of the College of Languages and Translation for its significant contributions to cultural and academic exchange. During the event, the department was recognized for translating five scholarly works on camels—originally authored by Fawzan bin Hamad Al-Madhi—including titles such as “The Types of Camels and Their Characteristics” and “Behavior and Breeding Patterns of Camels”—from Arabic into English.
