On February 17, 2021, the Language Research Center (LRC) hosted a workshop titled "Professional Development of Language Teachers: Need for Self-Appraisal", conducted by Dr. Shadma Iffat Rahmatullah. Central to her presentation was the concept of the reflective teacher.
"The Journey Just Begins: What To Do After Graduation" took place on February 14, 2021. This informative webinar, organized by the Women's Section of the Scientific Research Committee, was designed to help BA students gear up for their impending entry into the professional world. The session benefited from the real-world insights and advice of four seasoned MA students: Alaa Salem, Fatimah Abdulla, Warda Saad, and Rana Almutared.
On February 10, 2021, the Women's Scientific Research Committee of the Bachelor of Arts in English program facilitated the first in a series of webinars on academic writing, presented by Dr. Nada Alqarni.
In her opening remarks, Dr. Alqarni underscored the significance of understanding one's writing strategies as an essential step toward becoming a proficient writer. She elaborated that academic writing involves a multitude of considerations including audience, purpose, style, flow, and presentation.
On February 3, 2021, the Language Research Center at King Khalid University hosted a webinar featuring a presentation by Dr. Sara Sevinj Huseynova. The workshop, titled "Foundation Knowledge for Teaching Listening and Speaking Effectively," focused on essential pedagogical knowledge for effectively teaching these critical language skills.
On January 27, 2021, the Language Research Center at King Khalid University hosted a thought-provoking webinar featuring a presentation by Ms. Sharmin Siddiqui. Siddiqui presented her research paper titled "From Normal to New Normal: Rethinking Methodologies," elucidating the significant shift in teaching methodologies brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The session, conducted with strict adherence to COVID-19 social distancing guidelines, aimed to provide students with essential information about their new academic journey.
