On February 24, 2020, the second session of the Academic Writing Workshop Series was organized by the Women's Scientific Research Committee of the Bachelor of Arts in English program. In a cooperative endeavor with Cosmoline Clinics in Abha, the Unit of Advising and Counseling of the Bachelor of Arts in English program held an enlightening workshop on February 25, 2020. Titled "Students' Anxiety and its Treatments," the workshop offered students the opportunity to understand and manage anxiety disorders better.
On February 26, 2020, a valuable workshop titled 'LinkedIn Learning' was conducted by Mohsin Khan, the Alumni Unit Coordinator at the Faculty of Languages and Translation (clt). Supervised by Dr. Abdulrahman Almosa, the Vice Dean for Academic Development & Quality, the workshop aimed to address a pressing issue — the lack of knowledge among students regarding LinkedIn Learning and its potential benefits.

أقام نادي اللغة الانجليزية بكلية اللغات والترجمة دورة بعنوان "كيف تطور لغتك الانجليزية" يوم السبت ٢٨/٦/١٤٤١ في الوقت ٤:٠٠ - ٦:٠٠م في المدرجات المركزية بجامعة الملك خالد.
On Wednesday, February 19, 2020, the Women's Scientific Research Committee, part of the Bachelor of Arts in English program, organized a hands-on workshop on the application of Rbrul software. The session was facilitated by Dr. Khairia Ali Abu Dady, an Assistant Professor of Sociolinguistics.
On February 19, 2020, a seminar organized by the Language Research Center featured a presentation on 'Simultaneous Interpreting' by two Master of Arts in Translation program students, Wafa Al-Qahtani and Raneem Riadh.
The presentation began with Al-Qahtani and Riadh defining 'interpreting' as the transfer of one spoken or signed language into another. They emphasized that it's the element of immediacy that differentiates 'interpreting' from 'translation', because the latter typically excludes 'signed language'.
On February 17, 2020, the Women's Scientific Research Committee of the Bachelor of Arts in English program inaugurated the first session of its Academic Writing Workshop series. The workshop was led by Dr. Nada Alqarni, Department of English Supervisor.
On February 17, 2020, two students from the Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics program, Alaa Alshehri and Fatimah Abdulaziz, led a seminar on 'Online Research Tools: Discussion and Tips'. This seminar, organized by the Scientific Research Committee's Women's section, was attended by current Master's students and members of the research committee.
