In a seminar organized by the Language Research Center of King Khalid University, Mr. Salahud Din Abdul Rab demonstrated a valuable tool for research management, thereby expanding the knowledge horizon for his fellow academics. Held on March 28, 2018, his presentation cum workshop was aptly titled "Introduction to Mendeley: A Software Tool for Management of the Research Work," wherein he accentuated its principal features and utility.

Mr. Abdul Rab began his presentation by giving a comprehensive overview of Mendeley, elucidating how the program assists in streamlining research documents and references. He further highlighted its collaborative capacities, which enable researchers to team up with others by forming or joining groups, in addition to providing access to insightful statistics and recommendations.

Progressing in his presentation, Mr. Abdul Rab demonstrated a step-by-step guide on how to create a free Mendeley account, set up a library, and navigate the software's desktop functions. He also presented the software's mobile functionalities using an Android device for illustration. The demonstration continued with an in-depth explanation on how to add documents, save and synchronize them, manage the library, and create folders. It also encompassed working on references using this versatile program.

The enlightening presentation was well received and applauded for its educational value, proving to be an immense success overall. The session armed the attendees with a potent tool, enhancing their efficiency in research management.
