From October 9 to 12, 2016, three esteemed members of the Faculty of Languages and Translation—Dr. Salem bin Dawood, Mr. Matthew Paul, and Mr. Erich Beer—delivered a comprehensive International Testing Training Seminar, focusing on STEP, TOEFL, and IELTS, at Abha Technical College. The seminar drew the attendance of thirteen dedicated staff members from the English Language Center.

The program's design was a collaborative effort between Mr. Paul and Dr. Salem. While Mr. Paul oversaw the practical arrangements, showcasing his knack for meticulous organization, Dr. Salem captivated the attendees with his charismatic delivery, extensive knowledge, and unparalleled expertise.

The attendees, being educators themselves, exemplified the qualities of proficient learners. Their impressive English proficiency and active participation contributed to a dynamic learning environment. Such a select group of eager attendees proved to be an absolute delight to instruct.

The closing ceremony featured Dr. Moalwi Naser Alawaad, the Vice Dean for Quality Control, and Mr. Ahmed Najji, the Chairman of the English Department, presenting thoughtful gifts to the seminar's facilitators. This thoughtful gesture, captured in photographs, was followed by a collective photo session.

The training seminar proved to be an unequivocal success, garnering attention far beyond the institution's walls. Not only was it a rewarding experience for all involved, but it also sparked plans for future collaborative initiatives between the Technical College's English Language Center and King Khalid University's Faculty of Languages and Translation. Given the enthusiasm and commitment demonstrated by the institutions, these upcoming endeavors promise to deliver remarkable outcomes.
