The Faculty of Languages and Translation (clt) hosted an e-learning orientation session on September 27, 2018, specifically curated for the new faculty members who have joined the college this semester. Organized every semester, this event is aimed at familiarizing the new joiners with their administrative and e-learning responsibilities integral to their faculty roles.

Dean Abdullah Al-Melhi inaugurated the session with a warm welcome speech to the fresh faculty members. He emphasized the crucial role of King Khalid University’s learning management system in our teaching infrastructure. He implored all attendees to get well-acquainted with two crucial tools: Blackboard and Academia.

clt E-Learning Unit Supervisor, Mohsin Khan, led the subsequent workshop, featuring a live demonstration. During this interactive session, participants were encouraged to gain hands-on experience on the following:

  • Accessing and navigating through Blackboard
  • Organizing course content
  • Uploading essential documents
  • Communicating with students via announcements
  • Understanding and utilizing Academia


This event proved to be an invaluable platform for the new faculty members to acquaint themselves with the university's e-learning framework, ensuring a smooth transition into their academic roles.
