Scientific Research Workshop
The Scientific Research Committee of the Female Campus at the Faculty of Languages and Translation was invited by the Society Service and Continuous Learning Committee of the Faculty of Society in Khamis Mushait. The purpose of the invite was to enable a select group of accomplished students to participate in a workshop titled "Scientific Research Skills", held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018.
The workshop was skillfully delivered by Dr. Rasha Mamoun, an Assistant Professor specializing in artificial intelligence. Throughout the two-hour session, participants delved into the practicalities of conducting research, including how to write a compelling research proposal and how to effectively navigate online databases.
Several Faculty of Languages and Translation students who attended the workshop shared their enthusiasm for the enlightening experience. Sarah Abdullah Al-Shehri found the insights on crafting a successful research proposal particularly beneficial. Similarly, Maha Ibrahim highlighted the workshop's practical usefulness and expressed her eagerness to participate in more events of the same nature. She further extended her gratitude to the organizers. Additionally, Salwa Saeed acknowledged the value of the scientific research workshop in teaching her novel techniques to employ in her future academic endeavors.
Assistant Dean, Dr. Suaad Al-Qahtani, oversaw and encouraged the students' participation. The students, accompanied by the Scientific Research Committee Coordinator, had the opportunity to interact with peers from different departments. All in all, the event was an engaging and highly advantageous learning experience for all participants.
