The Faculty of Languages and Translation at King Khalid University, under the stewardship of Dean Dr. Abdullah Al-Melhi and the supervision of Dr. Muhammed Shuaib Asiri, Vice Dean for Academic Development & Quality, and Dr. Yahya Asiri, Vice Dean of the College, recently organized a thought-provoking presentation. The presentation, titled 'A Perspective on KKU: Online International Testing Center,' was delivered by Mr. Rizwan Ghani on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at the E-Learning Training Center A/3/86.

In his presentation, Mr. Ghani proposed the establishment of an Online International Testing Center (ITC) at King Khalid University. This center would administer international tests such as the ACT, CLEP, AP, PISA, GRE, and SAT. He articulated that the ITC could provide students, professionals, and the general public in the Asir Region with access to globally recognized courses, training programs, and entrance tests, which would contribute significantly to quality education, standardized testing, and community service.

Mr. Ghani also suggested that the ITC could aid in standardizing education at the university, reducing costs across various facets of the testing lifecycle, and provide candidates with optimal convenience through on-demand, year-round testing. Furthermore, he asserted that the introduction of digital education and computer-based testing (CBT) could harmonize high school and university education in the Asir Region with global standards, thereby allowing students to familiarize themselves with these systems from an early age. The proposed changes would equip them with the skills necessary to excel in local and global courses, examinations, entrance tests, and jobs.

The event was attended by Mr. Abdullah Al-Rezgi, Director of the English Language Center, Mr. Muhammed Jabir Asiri, an E-Learning Specialist, and several faculty members. Mr. Mohsin Khan, E-Learning Unit Supervisor, and Mr. Rizwan Ghani expressed their gratitude to the seminar participants for their insightful feedback and recommendations.
