The Scientific Research Committee of the Female Campus commenced its academic year events and activities with a seminar titled "Interaction between Literature and Other Disciplines." The seminar, presented by Dr. Suaad Al-Qahtani, the Dean's Assistant, drew a large and enthusiastic audience, including staff members from the department.

The seminar began with a warm welcome from Ms. Amal Metwally, the Scientific Research Committee Coordinator, who expressed gratitude to Dr. Suaad Al-Qahtani for her continual support and commitment to the committee. Dr. Suaad then commenced her presentation, taking the audience on a thought-provoking journey exploring literature, language, culture, race, gender, and psychology.

The main focus of the presentation revolved around the investigation of Elif Shafak's book, "Black Milk: On the Conflicting Demands of Writing and Motherhood." Elif Shafak, a renowned novelist from Turkey, offered a unique perspective on the conflicting voices and emotions experienced by individuals. Dr. Suaad elaborated on the fact that this struggle extends beyond motherhood and affects both men and women in their various roles in life.

The discussion flourished as all participants engaged in answering the thought-provoking question originally posed by Turkish writer Adalet Agaoglu: "Do you think a woman could manage motherhood and a career at the same time and equally well?" Dr. Suaad reexamined the question, leading to a fruitful exchange of ideas on the diverse roles and challenges faced by men and women in self-discovery.

At the conclusion of the seminar, Dr. Suaad Al-Qahtani expressed her delight with its success and extended her gratitude to Ms. Amal Metwally, the Scientific Research Committee Coordinator, as well as committee members Ms. Shanjida Halim and Ms. Tanzina Halim, along with all the attendees whose valuable viewpoints enriched the discussion. Dr. Suaad was presented with a certificate of appreciation for her participation in the event.

Dr. Suaad concluded the seminar by encouraging all members to actively participate in future seminars and events organized by the committee, emphasizing the importance of such engagement for their scientific and professional development.
