On November 21, 2021, the English Club, in collaboration with the Guidance and Counselling Unit, hosted a workshop titled 'How to Prepare for an Examination (Essentials and Strategies)' facilitated by Javed Ahmed. The workshop attracted nearly 20 participants and aimed to demonstrate how students could take control of their study time for optimal productivity using the Knowledge, Question, Read, Recall, and Review (KQ3) strategy.

The event was overseen by the English Club Director, Ali Mansur Al-Qahtani, and the Guidance and Counselling Unit Head, Dr. Dawood Mahdi. Both expressed their gratitude for the students' attendance, highlighting that understanding the essentials and strategies of different types of objective and subjective questions can significantly alleviate exam-related stress.

Ahmed delved further into the KQ3 strategy, emphasizing that each element is beneficial on its own and students should find what works best for them. He noted the importance of reviewing new material within 24 hours of initial study to maximize comprehension and memory retention. Ahmed further explained that a preliminary skim of the material provides a general outline, and that transforming titles into questions aids in active reading. He emphasized that students should articulate the main ideas of the text in their own words. In essence, Ahmed equipped the participants with the skills to effectively apply the KQ3 strategy, providing insight into various questioning steps and techniques for achieving more accurate information and superior answers.
