Accreditation Team Celebrates Full NCAAA Accreditation ..

In March 2022, the Bachelor of Arts in English Program at King Khalid University achieved a significant milestone: full accreditation by the Education and Training Evaluation Commission for seven years. This landmark accomplishment underscores the program's standing as a leading center for English language and translation studies. The accreditation serves as a testament to the collective efforts of the university's senior leadership, internal quality consultants, and dedicated faculty and staff. The program is committed to shaping future leaders who will contribute to Saudi Arabia's economic and social development, aligning with the aspirations of Vision 2030 and the Aseer Strategic Plan. As Dr. Abdullah Al-Melhi, Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Translation, expressed, this is an achievement for everyone involved, and it sets a high standard for educational excellence within the institution.

Introduction

This report presents a comprehensive analysis of high-performing graduates in the Bachelor of Arts in English program, covering a period from 37/38 to 1445 for female graduates and 36/37 to 1445 for male graduates.

Faculty

The faculty at our college is both diverse and highly specialized, consisting of 132 active scholars—67 of whom are female and 65 male. Additionally, there are 8 retired faculty members, all of whom are male. These academics possess an impressive array of research interests that span multiple disciplines and sub-fields. From Syntactic Theory, Sociolinguistics, and Language Learning Technologies to Empirical Translation Studies and Natural Language Processing, our faculty is engaged in a broad spectrum of scholarly pursuits.

Programs

The Faculty of Languages and Translation at our esteemed institution stands as an exemplar of academic rigor, featuring an expansive array of six meticulously designed programs to cater to the multifaceted needs of the linguistics and translation sectors. Our educational spectrum starts with two undergraduate degrees: a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Arts in Translation.
