On October 24, 2019, students from the Faculty of Languages and Translation, Female Section, joined the Intellectual Awareness Unit (IAU) Coordinator for an engaging workshop at the Faculty of Islamic Legislation. The workshop, led by Dr. Nora Al-Faifi, delved into the importance of setting life goals and the relentless pursuit of achieving them.

Dr. Al-Faifi discussed life's inherent challenges and underscored the need to establish specific goals, identify potential opportunities, and surmount any obstacles in the way of success. She explained that goal setting transcends simple planning and accountability; it serves as a source of inspiration, propelling individuals to reach beyond their perceived limitations.

She further emphasized that recording goals, complete with a timeline for completion, not only provides a tangible plan of action but also connects individuals with their inner desires. This documented purpose then acts as a powerful motivational force, fueling concerted efforts toward goal attainment.

Responding to the question of life's purpose and the path to achieving dreams, Dr. Al-Faifi turned to Islamic teachings for clarity. She explained that while Muslims are created to worship Allah the Almighty, Islam also encourages active societal participation and the pursuit of Allah's bounties. She insisted that goal setting, future planning, and purposeful living are all integral to Islamic teachings.

Following the presentation, an interactive discussion on the significance of goal setting ensued. Participants shared personal experiences, detailing the challenges they faced and the strategies they used to overcome them. The workshop concluded with success stories of teaching assistants and students who had accomplished their personal goals. These stories underscored the importance of goal setting, seizing opportunities, self-belief, and dedicated effort in achieving dreams.

The workshop served as a potent source of motivation for students who eagerly engaged in the discussions and drew inspiration from the shared success stories.

In attendance were Dr. Dawlah Mohammad Mane', the Vice Supervisor of the Intellectual Awareness Unit, and IAU coordinators from various faculties across the university, marking the event's success and cross-departmental participation.
