Translator's Message Making Impact in Asir Region
The Translator's Message is a noteworthy initiative launched by Master's degree students in Translation from the Faculty of Languages and Translation's female campus. As an entirely volunteer-driven group, they have committed to offering essential translation services to the wider community. Their motivation stems from a deep-rooted passion for translation, a desire to contribute positively to society, and the aim to refine their translation skills to fulfill career aspirations.
The program traces its origins to the mentorship of Dean Abdullah Al-Melhi, who was its earliest supporter and champion. The volunteer translators offer their services in both public and private educational institutions to bolster educational advancement and language translation. The group also intends to extend their services to an array of civic organizations, including public ministries, with these projects currently in the preparatory phase.
A significant area of focus for the team is the establishment of standardization procedures, which would enable the volunteers to deliver translation services with heightened efficiency. They aspire to leverage this increased efficiency to incorporate more advanced assistive techniques like videos, podcasts, electronic Q&A competitions, spelling bees, and bilingual referendums.
