Abdullah Omar, a distinguished student who received the First-Class Honors Award for his exceptional academic performance in the M.A. in Applied Linguistics Program, has dedicated his success to his mother. "This achievement brings honor not only to my mother," he said, "but also to the Faculty of Languages and Translation. I hope it will inspire other students in the college to aim high."

The Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Translation (clt), Dr. Abdullah Al-Melhi, expressed his heartfelt thoughts during the 20th Graduation Ceremony, sponsored by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid. His primary duty, as he described it, was to extend a warm welcome to the distinguished guests, faculty members, and graduating students. He went on to share his deep admiration for the students, highlighting the immense distances and hurdles they had overcome in their academic journey to graduation. "As we close out 2018, I want to extend my gratitude to our faculty members, students, and staff for yet another remarkable semester teeming with numerous accomplishments. Abdullah Omar's award stands as one of many testaments to the ongoing ascent of the Faculty of Languages and Translation," said Dr. Al-Melhi.

Adding to the accolades, the Chief Information Officer of King Khalid University, Dr. Salem Aleyani, praised Omar in a social media post. "His Royal Highness, the Prince of the Asir Region, is honoring our esteemed colleague for achieving first-class honors in his master's degree. Abdullah's strong work ethics make him one of the University's finest IT employees. I extend my best wishes to my friend," he wrote
