Faculty Members Receive Plaques of Appreciation for Teacher Training Webinars
On March 14, 2021, faculty members from the Faculty of Languages and Translation were honored to attend an award ceremony at the General Directorate of Education in Asir. During the ceremony, the Vice Dean for Academic Development & Quality, Dr. Abdulrahman Almosa, received several appreciation plaques acknowledging the effective management and execution of the first-ever series of in-service EFL teacher training webinars for over 500 educators in the Asir Public School System.
Saad Al-Jouni, the Director of Education in Asir, personally welcomed the participating faculty members. He lauded the Faculty of Languages and Translation for their outstanding contributions and expressed his anticipation for further collaborative efforts. Al-Jouni's sentiments were reinforced by the Deputy Director, Safar Al-Butaidi, and the Administrative Supervisor, Mohammed Al-Tarish, both of whom advocated for strengthened partnerships.
These webinars, enriched by the technical resources of King Khalid University's Deanship of E-Learning, were also guided by the Department of English Head, Hussein Asiri, from the General Directorate of Education in Asir. Asiri affirmed that the continuous professional development of teachers would enhance awareness of the latest modern teaching methodologies and best practices.
Several faculty members were presented with appreciation plaques for their past contributions and/or their commitment to future endeavors. These included:

- Dr. Abdulrahman Almosa;
- Mr. Hassan Costello;
- Dr. Sara Huseynova;
- Mr. Mohsin Raza Khan;
- Dr. Sayyed Rashid Ali Shah;
- Dr. Sheila Simpkins.
The Bachelor of Arts in English program remains committed to sharing expertise with the teaching staff of the Asir Public School System. The initiative is designed to address their specific needs and contribute to enhancing their performance, thereby ultimately improving the quality of education for students in the region.
