In a continued demonstration of King Khalid University's dedication to fostering international cooperation, His Excellency King Khalid University Rector, Professor Falleh R.M. Al-Solamy, recently hosted a distinguished delegation from Swansea University, United Kingdom. As a top-400 globally recognized institution, Swansea University, or 'Prifysgol Abertawe' as it's known in Welsh, upholds a reputable standard of education that aligns with King Khalid University's commitment to academic excellence.

The visiting delegation was led by Dr. Parfitt, Head of the English Language Training Services at Swansea University. They were extended a warm welcome at the Faculty of Languages and Translation where Dean Abdullah Al-Melhi, Vice Dean Yahya Asiri, Chairman Munassir Alhamami, and ELC Director Musa Al-Ahmari escorted them through a comprehensive tour of the campus. The tour included key facilities such as the labs, the Language Enhancement Program (LEP), the IELTS Center, and other significant areas.

A roundtable discussion followed the tour, during which Dean Al-Melhi highlighted the importance of international cooperation. He said, "We're pleased to welcome our esteemed guests from Swansea University to Abha. Cooperation among global universities presents a valuable opportunity for shared learning and teaching experiences. We're eager to work with Dr. Parfitt and Swansea University, and we're appreciative of Rector Al-Solamy's endorsement of this meaningful initiative."

Other representatives from Swansea University also explored different colleges within King Khalid University, underlining the mutual benefits of these initiatives for both institutions.

Dr. Parfitt expressed her gratitude, stating, "We're honored to be welcomed at King Khalid University. Our goal is to initiate an enduring educational cooperation with the Faculty of Languages and Translation, which we believe will be mutually advantageous. We envision implementing projects like internship programs, faculty and student exchanges, and joint degree programs. We've been graciously received by everyone at King Khalid University and in Abha, and we anticipate a long and fruitful relationship."

The Faculty of Languages and Translation remains dedicated to the growth of the university, students, and faculty through international cooperation and agreements with world-leading universities.
