Mastering Parts of Speech: An Advanced Course for Graduates

Dr. Eyhab Bader Eddin, as part of an ongoing initiative to enhance the understanding of graduate students, has offered an advanced free intensive course on the Parts of Speech. Recognizing the challenges that students face at the graduate or doctoral level, especially when in the process of writing their thesis, dissertations, or research papers, Dr. Bader Eddin held a three-part webinar series during the 2020-2021 academic year. The webinar, designed specifically for graduate students, attracted hundreds of attendees from across the globe, including English teachers and graduate students who sought to address any issues related to the parts of speech.

📚 Advanced Course: Parts of Speech

Led by: Dr. Eyhab Bader Eddin

Format: Three-part webinar series (2020-2021 academic year).

Audience: Graduate students, English teachers globally (Hundreds of attendees).

Aim: Enhance understanding for thesis, dissertation, and research paper writing.

Dr. Bader Eddin commented, "Even though it might seem unnecessary to have a detailed understanding of the parts of speech, it's essential for graduates from the College of Languages and Translation to present their papers with the correct sentence structure." He also highlighted that Dean Dr. Abdullah Al-Melhi and Vice Dean of Postgraduate Studies Dr. Munassir Alhamami were fully supportive of his webinar series, aimed at engaging the community, alumni, and current students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Comprehensive Grammatical Coverage

The webinar series delved into an extensive range of topics fundamental to understanding English grammar and parts of speech, from basic components to complex syntactic theories and noun characteristics.

To reinforce understanding of the topics covered, attendees were given assignments after each session, with the invitation to ask questions to clear any misunderstandings. We have also learned that additional sessions will soon be held to complete the series.
