Ms. Nora Al-Shamrani, the workshop facilitator, defined the home country as "the place where you live, and to which you belong," setting a thoughtful tone for the session. She embarked on a fascinating journey into the Kingdom's history and the importance of its flag. Since its adoption on March 15, 1973, the flag, emblazoned with the Islamic creed, has been a strong symbol of the nation's identity and beliefs. Ms. Al-Shamrani underscored the need for students to be cognizant of their country's history and to develop a deep-seated appreciation for it. The conversation then evolved towards the Kingdom's strength and the ambitions encapsulated in its Vision 2030 initiative.
An engaging dialogue ensued on how to cultivate recognizable citizens, with students sharing their perspectives. They expressed that adherence to Islamic principles, as elucidated in the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), was paramount to their identity as citizens.
