On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, the Language Enhancement Unit of the College of Languages & Translation (CLT) continued its "Come Learn French" series, which began two weeks earlier. Moving forward, the workshop will be held every Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in Room A-3-59 at the CLT.

The session offered participants an immersive introduction to French language fundamentals, focusing on greetings, basic conversation, and everyday expressions. Attendees were greeted with French-themed refreshments, including croissants, mini pastries, and confections adorned with small French flags. These treats, paired with interactive activities, helped create an engaging atmosphere that seamlessly combined cultural exploration with language practice.

During the workshop, the instructor demonstrated various practical techniques to help students confidently apply newly acquired French vocabulary in everyday scenarios. By weaving cultural references into language drills, participants gained both linguistic proficiency and an appreciation for French customs.

The session concluded with a Q&A segment, during which the instructor addressed student inquiries ranging from pronunciation nuances to effective study habits. Participants expressed gratitude for the workshop’s accessible and hands-on approach, noting that it fostered both confidence and curiosity in the language-learning process.

The Language Enhancement Unit remains committed to offering similar initiatives to broaden students’ linguistic and cultural perspectives. Future sessions aim to build on the momentum established by this workshop, bridging language theory with real-world application to enrich the academic experience at the CLT.
