Toastmasters Hosts Public Speaking
On October 10, 2018, the English Club at the Faculty of Languages and Translation's Female Campus, in collaboration with the Area 39 Asir Female Toastmasters Club, hosted a remarkable program entitled 'قيادتي لذاتي'. The event was staged at the Science College Theater between 10 am and 12 pm.
The assistant dean, alongside various faculty members and students from the English department, graced the event with their presence. The purpose of the program was to shed light on the benefits of becoming a member of Toastmasters International, highlighting its nurturing and supportive learn-by-doing environment, which can foster personal and professional growth.
The main event of the program featured a line-up of five speeches delivered by students, showcasing their linguistic prowess in both English and Arabic. The audience was captivated by the eloquent speeches and the unique perspectives shared by the student speakers.
The event culminated in the presentation of certificates to the members of the Toastmasters Club who played a significant role in preparing and executing the event. This program not only provided an engaging platform for the students to exhibit their public speaking skills but also emphasized the essence of personal leadership and the value of active participation in global organizations like Toastmasters International.
