The Faculty of Languages & Translation's Female Campus recently hosted a program organized by the Scientific Research Committee entitled "Sister-to-Sister." Held on November 20, 2017, the initiative was designed to motivate and inspire undergraduate students. To achieve this, three Master's degree students shared their personal experiences of facing and overcoming substantial challenges in pursuit of their academic goals.

Three accomplished speakers contributed to the program, with Ms. Alanood Saleh Suliman acting as moderator. The speakers, Ms. Rowa Abdullah, Ms. Manal Al-Qahtani, and Ms. Amal Bishry, each brought their unique perspectives and journey to the discussion. Ms. Abdullah began by recounting her journey to secure admission into a Master's program and the challenges she encountered in being accepted into prominent universities. She emphasized the crucial role of international proficiency exams such as IELTS & TOEFL, urging the undergraduate attendees to take these tests seriously.

Next, Ms. Al-Qahtani used her platform to inspire the undergraduates to be ready for the pursuit of higher education. Finally, Ms. Bishry gave a detailed account of her experiences with admission into a Master's program, the hurdles she faced post-enrollment, and her strategies for effective time management and multitasking.

Towards the conclusion of the program, Dr. Mona Al-Shehri, the Head of the Department of English, also imparted words of wisdom, encouraging students to manage their time wisely and persist in the face of any challenges that may arise. Her message was one of commitment and dedication towards one's goals, a sentiment that inspired the students and faculty members present.

The Sister-to-Sister program concluded on a high note, with Assistant Dean Dr. Suaad Al-Qahtani presenting certificates of appreciation to the three Master's students. Their contributions and shared experiences helped make the event an undeniable success.
