Vision

To provide accurate and reliable measurement and evaluation services that support the continuous improvement of teaching and learning at the College of Languages and Translation.

Mission

The Measurement and Evaluation Unit at the College of Languages and Translation is responsible for overseeing the application of various measurement and evaluation procedures to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the educational programs and activities offered by the college. We are committed to providing high-quality measurement and evaluation services that support the faculty and students in achieving their academic and professional goals.

Functions

  1. Oversee the application of various measurement and evaluation procedures to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and validity of the results.
  2. Supervise all courses and workshops offered by the Center of Measurement and Evaluation at the university, and provide support and guidance to faculty members and students on measurement and evaluation issues.
  3. Collect and analyze data related to test results, absence rates, and numbers of students attributed to faculty members, and provide regular reports to the Center of Measurement and Evaluation at the university.
  4. Conduct test and item analyses to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of the educational programs and activities offered by the college, and provide feedback and recommendations to faculty members and students.
  5. Share reports on the results of the analyses of various measures with faculty members, and provide them with guidance and support on how to interpret and use the results to improve their teaching and learning practices.
  6. Provide detailed reports after each meeting or procedure related to measurement and evaluation within the college, to ensure transparency and accountability.
  7. Conduct research studies proposed by the Center of Measurement and Evaluation at the university, and provide them with the necessary data and insights to support their research objectives.
  8. Report any difficulties or obstacles to the implementation of measurement and evaluation procedures within the college to the Center of Measurement and Evaluation at the university, and provide them with recommendations on how to overcome these challenges.
  9. Advise faculty members and graduate students on issues and matters related to measurement and evaluation, and provide them with the necessary support and guidance to improve their teaching and learning practices.

By implementing these functions, the Measurement and Evaluation Unit aims to provide accurate and reliable measurement and evaluation services that support the continuous improvement of teaching and learning at the College of Languages and Translation. We are committed to promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, and to contributing to the achievement of King Khalid University's aspirations for the development of the Kingdom's human capital.
