On Sunday, March 10, the Women's English Club of the Faculty of Languages and Translation, in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs, hosted an inspiring program to commemorate International Women's Day. The event was held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am in Building C and featured several influential women from Asir, including Salwa Al-Qahtani, Amjad Al-Hajri, and Sharifah Al-Qahtani.

Following the opening ceremony, the English Club unveiled their inaugural magazine, a creative showcase of the students' talents spanning various fields such as drawing, photography, and English and Arabic literature. The magazine was conceived and executed under the guidance of Dr. Suaad Al-Qahtani and Maram Almalki, the Head of the English Club.

The program also highlighted a segment known as the '10 years' challenge', which offered a balanced perspective on personal and professional growth over the past decade.

In a stride to promote health awareness, Dr. Suaad Al-Qahtani initiated a health challenge, encouraging participants to adopt and maintain healthier habits. The day concluded with an impactful speech by Salwa Al-Qahtani, where she advocated for an expansion in student activities, emphasizing the importance of these engagements in the holistic development of students.

The celebration of International Women's Day underscored the importance of empowering women, fostering an environment of growth and development, and lauding the achievements of local successful women in the Asir region.
