The College of Languages and Translation has a rich history of growth and development, starting with its establishment as "The Institute of Languages and Translation" under the organizational chart No. 15/8 of King Khalid University on 1/2/1420 AH. This transformation was the result of merging the former Department of English at King Saud University and the Department of English and Translation at the branch of Al-Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University into "The Institute of English and Translation." Later, under decree No. 5-31-1424 on 26/9/1424 AH, the name was changed to "The Faculty of Languages and Translation."
The College of Languages and Translation has been led by four distinguished deans who have contributed significantly to its growth and development. These deans include Dr. Abdullah Abu Ashi, Dr. Hizbullah Al-Sindi, Dr. Abdullah Al-Melhi, and the current dean, Dr. Ahmad Ismail Assiri.
