Important Announcement: Digital Transformation

Based on the approval of His Excellency the University President, and as part of the university's digital transformation initiative and enhancement of technical infrastructure, we would like to inform you that King Khalid University, represented by the Deanship of Electronic Services, is planning to migrate to Microsoft 365 for email services and cloud storage, replacing the current Google platform.

This direction comes within the framework of the university's commitment to providing modern and secure technical solutions that align with best global practices and offer a more effective and efficient digital experience for its staff.

Starting from the week of April 27, 2025, all incoming and outgoing messages will be transferred to the Outlook platform within Microsoft 365. We urge you to start using the new system and take advantage of its advanced services.

What Will Happen?

All existing emails and files previously stored on Google services will be automatically migrated to your new Microsoft 365 accounts without any impact on data content or loss, and your email address will remain unchanged.

Preparation of migration infrastructure and initial testing phase

May 4, 2025

All incoming and outgoing emails will be transferred to Outlook within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem

May 11, 2025

Complete migration of all historical data and finalization of the transition

How to Access Microsoft 365 Services

To facilitate the transition process, we have prepared a comprehensive guide that includes steps to activate accounts and access services.

Two Methods to Access Your Account:

Method 1: Through My KKU Services

  1. Visit the King Khalid University website (kku.edu.sa)
  2. Click on the MyKKU icon at the top of the screen
  3. Complete your university account information and click login
  4. Click on the Office 365 icon to access the Microsoft 365 service suite

Method 2: Through Microsoft Office Page

  1. Go to www.office.com in your browser
  2. Begin by entering your university email address
  3. You will be redirected to the university's login page to complete your registration
  4. After logging in, you will have access to all Microsoft 365 services
