On March 29, 2021, Dean Abdullah Al-Melhi of the Faculty of Languages and Translation was awarded a plaque of appreciation from His Excellency Falleh Al-Solamy, President of King Khalid University. This recognition was in acknowledgment of Dean Al-Melhi's dedicated efforts and contributions in his capacity as Editor-in-Chief of the Saudi Journal of Language Studies. The commendation ceremony was supported by the Vice President of Higher Studies & Scientific Research, Dr. Hamad Al-Garni, Supervisor of the Scientific Journals & Societies Unit (SJSU), Dr. Abdullah Asiri, and SJSU Consultant, Dr. Amir Kessentini. All attendees expressed their profound gratitude for the continued support and contributions to the extensive scholarship produced at King Khalid University.

The Saudi Journal of Language Studies (SJLS), a distinguished, double-blind peer-reviewed periodical, holds the distinction of being academically open access, published under the esteemed banner of Emerald on behalf of King Khalid University. The primary objective of SJLS is to provide a platform for the dissemination of comprehensive articles spanning the complete spectrum of language studies.

Similarly, Dean Abdulaziz Fageeh of the College of Arts and Sciences at Tanuma was also awarded a plaque of appreciation by President Al-Solamy. This honor was in recognition of his significant efforts and contributions as Editor-in-Chief of the KKU Journal of Humanities. Both Dean Al-Melhi and Dean Fageeh expressed their heartfelt appreciation to all authors, editors, and anonymous reviewers for their crucial role in the success of the journals. They also acknowledged Dr. Ismail Alrefaai for his considerable contributions as coordinator of both journals.
