On March 23, 2021, the Faculty of Languages and Translation hosted a webinar titled 'Professional Job Skills', led by Mr. Javed Ahmed. The session, facilitated by Dr. Abdulrahman Almosa, Vice Dean for Academic Development & Quality, and supported by Mr. Mohsin Khan, E-Learning Supervisor, aimed to prepare the upperclassmen and alumni of the Bachelor of Arts in English program for the evolving expectations of today's professional environments.

On March 24, 2021, the Language Research Center hosted a webinar led by Dr. Eyhab Bader Eddin, focusing on research areas within translation studies. The event, titled "Areas and Themes in Translation Studies: A Lantern Shone into the Dark Maze of Tunnels, Excavated by Translation Students and Researchers," catered primarily to students of translation studies and research enthusiasts in the field.

On March 24, 2021, the Scientific Research Committee hosted a webinar, "Your Guide for MA Studying," featuring three post-graduate students - Ms. Warda Saad, Ms. Fatemah Abdulaziz, and Ms. Alaa Salem. They offered valuable insights and guidance for undergraduate students interested in pursuing Master's degrees.

On March 14, 2021, faculty members from the Faculty of Languages and Translation were honored to attend an award ceremony at the General Directorate of Education in Asir. During the ceremony, the Vice Dean for Academic Development & Quality, Dr. Abdulrahman Almosa, received several appreciation plaques acknowledging the effective management and execution of the first-ever series of in-service EFL teacher training webinars for over 500 educators in the Asir Public School System.

In a webinar convened by the Language Research Center on March 10, 2021, Dr. Shazia Tabassum shed light on the topic of "Lexical Borrowing: French Loan Words into English." The session revolved around the enrichment of the English language lexicon through borrowing from other languages.

The Deanship of E-Learning recently held a two-day training course entitled "Applying the Quality Matters Rubric Workshop (Virtual)," under the watchful eye of E-Learning Supervisor, Mohsin Khan. Holistic support for the event was provided by Ms. Safa Al-Shehri and Mr. Abdullah Zubain of the Deanship of E-Learning.

The Quality Matters (QM) Rubric offers participants a robust introduction to best practices, principles of instructional design, and research-based design for online and hybrid courses, all aimed at ensuring quality assurance.

On February 28, 2021, nearly 500 attendees benefited from an insightful in-service instructor training webinar led by Dr. Sara Sevinj Huseynova. The webinar, a cooperative initiative between the Ministry of Education Directorate in the Asir region and Rijal Alma, focused on the theme, "Teaching Language Skills: Basic Ideas and Techniques for Instructing Listening and Speaking." The event garnered enthusiastic participation from local attendees and others from across the Kingdom.

On March 3, 2021, the Language Research Center hosted a webinar during which Dr. Sarwat Un Nisa delivered a presentation titled "Challenges of Online Classes and Strategies to Overcome Them". The talk was rooted in various research studies on the subject.
