Farewell and Reception Party 2014
On the 25th of May 2014, the Faculty of Languages and Translation organized a memorable Reception and Farewell Party to recognize and honor both the new and departing staff members. The event was a testament to the college's commitment to fostering a sense of community and appreciation among its faculty.
The evening began with Mr. Matthew Paul, representing the new staff members, delivering a heartfelt speech, sharing his experiences and reflections on his first year working at KKU. His speech resonated with the audience, as he expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and the supportive environment he found within the college.
Following Mr. Paul's speech, Dr. Farhatullah Khan and Dr. Abdulatif Shazli, representing the departing staff members, took the stage to bid their farewells. In their speeches, they expressed a mix of emotions, reflecting on their departure from KKU and reminiscing about their extensive experiences and contributions to the college. Their words left a lasting impression on the audience, evoking nostalgia and gratitude for their valuable service.
A special moment of recognition was dedicated to Dr. Hizbullah Al-Sindi, the former dean of the college, who was awarded a certificate of excellence for his dedicated service spanning ten years. This gesture acknowledged his significant contributions and celebrated his leadership in guiding the college to new heights.
In addition to honoring Dr. Al-Sindi, certificates of appreciation were also presented to deserving staff members, recognizing their valuable contributions and dedication to the college's success.
To mark the conclusion of the event, a photo session was held, capturing the cherished memories of the evening. It was an opportunity for staff members, both new and departing, to come together and immortalize the sense of camaraderie and shared experiences they had built throughout their time at the College of Languages and Translation.
