The annual freshman orientation held by the Faculty of Languages and Translation (clt) at King Khalid University saw a robust turnout at the start of the semester. The event, typically lasting one to two hours, serves as an introduction for new students to understand the university's rules and regulations, meet their peers, and familiarize themselves with the English Club.

The orientation program provides students with an invaluable opportunity to meet their teachers, build relationships with classmates, and grasp the expectations of being a student at King Khalid University. Key insights were shared by Dr. Dawood Mahdi, Student Advisor, and Faisal Alfadhil, Director of Student Activities, who both delivered speeches centered around familiarizing students with available resources. Upperclassmen were also present to offer guidance and words of encouragement to their junior peers.

clt Dean, Dr. Abdullah Al-Melhi, emphasized the significance of the orientation. "Freshman Orientation is a crucial event for our new students, setting the stage for their smooth transition into university life," he remarked. "We extend a warm welcome to the Class of 2023 and strongly encourage them to maintain regular class attendance." The clt continues to prioritize the introduction of incoming students to their university life, ensuring they begin their educational journey with confidence and the necessary knowledge.
