The Women's English Club at the Faculty of Languages and Translation organized an engaging event on Sunday, October 28th, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The initiative, dubbed "Above the Sky," aimed to spotlight the integral role of women in relation to Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.

In the ambit of this progressive initiative, Crown Prince HRH Mohammed bin Salman has underscored the pivotal part women are expected to play in restructuring the Saudi economy as per the Vision 2030 blueprint. At the King Khalid University (KKU) program, attendees expressed their profound gratitude for the Crown Prince's faith in ensuring women are at the forefront of this national strategy. The female participants, imbued with high spirits, are eager to embrace the advantages of a modernized economy offering abundant opportunities for women, youth, and the wider public.

In a highlight of the event, the first-place winning team of the Hajj Hackathon, "Turjuman," shared their success story via a video presentation. Hackathons, as noted by TechRadar, serve as platforms for marshaling human resources towards resolving complex challenges and devising solutions through the creation of practical software. With diverse teams competing, the organizers benefit from a multitude of high-quality potential solutions.

Turjuman's triumphant project involved affixing QR codes to all Hajj signage. The QR codes, when scanned, displayed translations of the signs in the user's preferred language.

The event concluded with a question and answer session during which the Turjuman team detailed their journey towards winning the Hajj Hackathon, recognized as the largest event of its type in the Middle East. This segment provided valuable insights into the strategies and steps that led the team to their impressive victory.
