Getting Started With Rbrul Workshop
The Scientific Research Committee of the Faculty of Languages and Translation recently held an enlightening two-hour workshop on April 9, 2018. The purpose of the workshop was to familiarize faculty members and MA students with the intricacies of Rbrul software.
The session was led by Dr. Khairia Abudadi, who presented an insightful introduction to the Rbrul software. Throughout her presentation, Dr. Khairia used a hands-on approach, supplementing her discussion with practical examples and supporting materials distributed to the attendees.
"Rbrul is a versatile software that enables users to perform tasks such as plotting, cross-tabulation, and regression analysis of data,” Dr. Khairia stated. Further elaborating on the user-friendly aspects of the program, she added, “The beauty of Rbrul is its interactivity - once the program is launched, it assists users by presenting a series of questions with multiple-choice answers. This eliminates the need to memorize extensive coding language.”
Dr. Khairia explored various facets of the software, including its installation process, initial usage, data modeling, and integration with Excel spreadsheets. The attendees engaged in active discussions and showed considerable interest in acquiring more practical exposure to the software. In response to their enthusiasm, Dr. Khairia promised to organize an additional hands-on session to guide them in using the software.
Notable attendees included Dr. Salma Al-Qahtani, the Vice Dean, and Dr. Mona Alshehri, the Head of the Department. Both enriched the discussion with their valuable insights and extensive experience in the field.
The Scientific Research Committee expressed gratitude to all participants for their active engagement in this workshop and will soon announce the date for the next session.
