The Faculty of Languages and Translation at King Khalid University rolled out the red carpet for its newest members on February 10, 2016, with a bespoke Student Orientation Program. The event was further elevated by the esteemed presence of Dr. Abdullah Al-Melhi, Dean of the Faculty, who donned dual roles as both a presenter and the chief guest.

The occasion kicked off with a heartening address by Dean Dr. Abdullah Al -elhi. Extending a warm welcome to the new students and congratulating them on their successful admission, he underscored the significance of orientation programs. He portrayed them as valuable treasure troves of information, providing a road map to navigate the institution and its resources.

Dr. Al-Melhi also impressed upon the freshers the importance of being diligent with their studies from the onset. Encouraging them to make the most of their time at the faculty, he expressed his hopes that they would savor their academic journey and graduate with exemplary results.

The program also featured influential speeches by Dr. Muteb Al-Qarni, Chair of the English Department, Dr. Fahad Otaif, Vice Dean of Academic Development and Quality, and Dr. Basim Kanaan, Academic Advisor. They imparted their wisdom, offered insightful advice, and extended their best wishes for the students' academic journey, lighting their path towards a bright future.
