The Faculty of Languages & Translation once again demonstrated their efficiency and dedication in celebrating the joyous occasion of 'Saudi National Day.' The success of the event was the result of the continuous efforts of Mr. Ali Alamri, Director of Student Activities, and the students involved in organizing the students' activities. The entire college exuded a festive atmosphere, bringing together faculty members of different nationalities, guests, and students in a unified spirit.

The program commenced with the playback of the national anthem of Saudi Arabia, filling the air with patriotic fervor. This was followed by a captivating PowerPoint presentation that showcased the cultural and historical richness of Saudi Arabia, highlighting the nation's remarkable heritage. Adding to the artistic flair of the event, Mr. Shahrear Talukdar, a lecturer, recited a heartfelt poem titled 'The Single Plane.'

Dr. Abdullah Al-Melhi, the Honorable Dean of the College and the chief guest, warmly welcomed the esteemed faculty members and students to celebrate Saudi National Day. He expressed gratitude to the Almighty Allah for blessing the country with vast lands that were united by the Great King Abdul Aziz. Dr. Al-Melhi emphasized the importance of understanding and appreciating the country's history, which was built step by step and continues to grow and develop. He encouraged the younger generation to delve into the kingdom's rich history and highlighted the responsibility of every citizen to preserve and uphold the nation's achievements. Furthermore, he advised the students and young generation to celebrate the national day while adhering to the teachings of Islam and the traffic laws, in order to promote a positive image of the celebrations. Dr. Al-Melhi concluded his speech by offering prayers for peace throughout the world. He extended his gratitude to the members of the Students' Activities Centre and the event management committee for their efforts in organizing such a splendid program. Dr. Abdulkhaleq Al-Qahtani, Vice Dean of Academic Development & Quality, also delivered a poignant speech, further adding to the significance of the occasion.

The celebration of Saudi National Day 2014 also served as a platform to unveil the new logo of the English Club of the college. The Dean of the College, along with other dignitaries, ceremoniously cut a giant cake adorned with the new logo, symbolizing the unity and progress of the English Club. Traditional drinks and various refreshments were arranged, providing a delightful culinary experience for all attendees.

The festive celebration of Saudi National Day at the Faculty of Languages & Translation not only fostered a sense of pride and unity among faculty members, guests, and students but also showcased the college's commitment to cultural appreciation and community engagement. The event served as a memorable occasion to celebrate the rich heritage and achievements of Saudi Arabia, leaving a lasting impression on all who participated.
