On January 16, 2019, a practical and interactive 'E-Learning Practitioners Training' session took place, aimed at assisting faculty members to master Blackboard, one of the leading learning management systems in higher education. This session was spearheaded by the Deanship of E-Learning and led by Mohsin Khan, the E-Learning Supervisor at the Faculty of Languages and Translation.

Participants in the training program included new faculty members from various colleges and locations. The session started with Mr. Khan delivering essential instruction to those unfamiliar with King Khalid University's learning management system, Blackboard. The training then transitioned towards a deep dive into the flipped classroom method. Mr. Khan stressed that "Blackboard, when maximized, significantly enhances student learning outcomes and delivers immense benefits."

A highlight of the session was Mr. Khan's introduction to the standards of the internationally recognized Quality Matters (QM) Rubric. As a global benchmark, QM certifies online courses that exhibit an exceptional commitment to creating a quality-driven and excellence-oriented environment. Mr. Khan shared insights on how these standards could be effectively implemented in online courses.

The session concluded with Mohammed Jarallah, the E-Learning Training Manager, expressing gratitude to all participants for their active involvement. He underscored the fact that E-Learning is increasingly critical in higher education. He further emphasized that the university is devoted to maintaining the highest standards and adopting best practices in delivering a contemporary college-level curriculum.
